Donald "Devyn" Wi'ness ~ Frist Man ~ Star Child Gregory Jones Jr.

Donald "Devyn" Gregory Jones, 33, passed away on April 13, 2016, in Visalia, California. He was loved by many for his fun loving spirit, brilliant smile, captivating eyes, and big heart!. He loved unconditionally and always put his family first. He was full of life, always in good spirits, and could fill a room with his dazzling smile, warm hug and GQ style. Donald attended many Visalia schools and Lindsay High School. He graduated from Milan Institute with a Certificate of Completion for Medical Assistant. He was a member of the Wukchumni Tribe and blessed with the traditional name "Wi'ness", the First Man and Star Child. He had a lot of special bonds with each and every person who came into his life and will always be remembered as young, handsome, and strong. Donald fought the best battle he could and is now on his journey to the other side to be with our ancestors. He will be greatly missed and forever young in our hearts.

Donald is survived by his mother Carolyn Tapleras and stepfather Mike Watters, his father Donald Jones Sr., and stepmother Irma Salas, sister Monique Jones, brothers Jeremy Tapleras, Jason and Josh Jones, God children, Mikiyah Rose Saechao and Nathaniel "Buddy" Jones, numerous nieces and nephews, grandmother Cyndy Tapleras, uncle Joe Galaz and wife Zena, aunts Sindie Galaz and Ruth Tapleras, along with god parents, Stephen Thomas, Jr., Maggie Weese Hernandez and Sharon Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his God father Filemon C. Tapleras and great grand parents Tony and Martha Wilcox Tapleras.

Rosary will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 5 - 8 pm. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia.
