

Dorothy was born December 24, 1936 to George and Fay Ade of Exeter, California, where she was raised and educated. She worked at Veva Blunt Elementary and Redwood High School in Visalia. She also worked at Sunkist, as a church secretary, and so many other places. She married Orval L. Ellis, a California Highway Patrolman, on October 16, 1961, and loved being a Patrol wife. She was a devout Baptist and church member everywhere she lived; and an active volunteer including Parkinson's support groups and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She loved seashells, shopping, bowling, ice-tea and Elvis.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is reunited with her daughter Rhonda Elizabeth Ellis, her husband Orval L. Ellis, her stepson Jerry D. Ellis, and her brothers Bill, Clyde and Alec Ade. She leaves behind son Dale S. Ellis, (Arlene), daughter Laura E. Gassner, (Karl); grandchildren Katherine, Victoria, Amber (Chisum), Nicole (Steven), John, Shane, Madison, Nickolas, Amy (Antoine); and six great grandchildren.
Viewing will be Friday December 28th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave, Visalia. Memorial will be Saturday December 29th 10:00 AM.
