Edna Lorene Hamilton

Edna Lorene Hamilton, 75, of Visalia, California passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Tulare Nursing Rehab in Tulare, California. She was a Day Care Provider.

Edna was born to Arthur and Eva Shay on Jan. 26 1938. She and her husband, Gary Hamilton celebrated 50 years of marriage Dec. 11, 2012. While their 3 daughters were at home she was a stay at home mom. As a member of Sierra Baptist Church she loved to teach Sunday school and sing. She enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the coast, good food and spending time with family. Her smile was infectious.

Edna is survived by her husband Gary Hamilton of Visalia, three daughters: Lorene Simon married to Andrew Simon of Visalia, Midge Stover married to Michael Stover of Tulare and Tonya Logan of Porterville, her brother Gerald Shay of New Mexico, two sisters Betty Goodpaster of Kentucky and Carrie Parker of Arkansas, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Edna is preceded in death by her father Arthur Shay, mother Eva Shay, brother Billy Shay and sister Lucille Hutchins.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, California.
