Faye Christene Thompson Maupin

Christene was born on December 1, 1929 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to Arthur and Gertie Thompson. She and her family moved to Cutler, California in 1942. Christene met the love of her life, Raymond Maupin at a church function for returning World War II soldiers. They were married in 1947. She spent her younger years as a devoted mother to three boys, David, Gary and Keith. She also worked from time to time as a bookkeeper. In 1979 she became Head Accountant for Real Fresh Milk, retiring in 1991. Ray and Christene enjoyed traveling all over the United States and the world. Ray passed away in 2001. Christene stayed very active in the United Methodist Church of Visalia until she no longer could physically attend.

Christene is survived by her three sons, David (Marlis), Gary and Keith; grandchildren, Michele, James and Brian.

The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Park Visalia and Kaweah Delta Hospice for the loving care they provided for Christene.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 4 – 6 at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 9 a.m. at the Visalia District Cemetery Pavilion, 1300 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia.
