

Gary was born in Exeter, California on March 15, 1955 to William Raymond “Ray” and Marjorie “Marge" Ann Lane Miller. He attended elementary school in Lemon Cove, California and graduated with the Class of 73 from Exeter Union High School. Gary continued his education at Fresno State University, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agri Business. While at FSU he was a member of the Sigmi Chi Fraternity. Gary worked for various fruit brokerage companies throughout California from the late 70’s until 1995. He then worked for the EDD in Visalia until 1997. Gary worked for the California Department of Corrections at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility State Prison at Corcoran, California retiring at the age of 56 in 2010.
Gary enjoyed BBQ’s with family and friends, loved being outdoors and going to Mineral King, playing cribbage, watching old movies, shows like Bonanza and Gunsmoke. He was an avid reader and writer, taking after his mother, and was a member of the Clampers for many years. He was a San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Rams fan. His family remembers his clever sense of humor.
Gary is survived by his wife, Diann of Visalia whom he married in Visalia on June 28, 1999. He is also survived by his sister, Lana ( Miller) Brown of Visalia and numerous extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Marge.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Grace Community Church at 424 South Lovers Lane, Visalia.
