James "Dan" Daniel Moody

Dan was born in Exeter, California on October 5, 1948, the fourth of five children born to Wayne and Lois Moody. He was raised and educated in Visalia, and graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1966. Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fresno State University in 1974. On August 6, 1982, Dan married Donna Gail Petty in So. Lake Tahoe, California. Dan has one daughter, Stefanie from a previous marriage to Shirlee and two sons Fredric and Christopher with Donna. Dan loved The Lord and was an active member of Sierra Baptist Church of Visalia he cherished his church family. During his career he worked as an Agronomist, Pest Control Advisor for several companies throughout Tulare County and for the last five years he was self-employed in lawn care and landscaping. Dan enjoyed golfing with friends, Nascar and gardening. He took great pride in his yard and helping others with their yards and seeing the transformation. Dan worked hard throughout his life at everything he did always taking time to help others along the way. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and love him.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dale.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty one years, Donna of Visalia, three children, Fredric Moody and partner, Robert Serrano of Visalia, CA, Christopher Moody of Visalia, CA and Stefanie Mason and husband, Chad of Edmond, OK; two sisters, Carol King and husband Leo and Mable Smith and husband Shannon all of Fresno, CA; one brother, Phil Moody and wife, Louise of Visalia, CA and two grandchildren, Colin Mason and Vanessa Moody; and several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11 a.m.at Sierra Baptist Church, 1437 E. Walnut Avenue in Visalia, California. Burial will be private.
