Janice Faye Williams

Janice was born in Mulberry, Arkansas on March 22, 1925 to Luther Dewey Danley and Exie Viola Roe Danley. She graduated from Mulberry High School in 1942. On January 18, 1943 Janice married Willis C. Abshere in Crawford County, Arkansas. Shortly after that, they moved to Glendora, California to make their home and raise their three sons, Will, Don and Dennis. In 1979 Willis and Janice moved to Visalia. He preceded her in death in 1990. Janice was of Baptist faith, attending First Baptist Church of Visalia. Janice married Rudy Williams in Bullhead City, AZ and they made their home in Visalia. They enjoyed traveling. Rudy passed away on August 3, 2005. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and volunteered for twelve years with the Visalia Community Hospital Guild. Janice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Will Jr. and wife, Largo of Woodburn, OR and Don and wife, Sharon of San Marcos, CA; one brother, James Danley of Stigler, OK; one sister Darlene Hartman of Visalia; six grandchildren, Denise, Jeff, Sandy, Chad, Mitch, Braeden, Wendy, Stacey and Kelly ; twelve great grandchildren, Steven, Chris, Greg, Mandy, Terren, Zack, Shanea, Tyler, Chandler, Kaleb, Rivers, Indy, and eight great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 5 -8 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia. Celebration of Life services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014a t 10 a.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel with burial following at Visalia District Cemetery.
