

John graduated from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio and moved to San Diego shortly after graduating. He was employed many years as an engineer and retired from Solar in 1978. He was also a professional organist and pianist and played in many churches in Toledo and San Diego.
He and his wife, Ellie were avid sailors and enjoyed sailing to Catalina Island every summer on their yacht, The Madam Jo. They did extensive traveling in their motorhome, went on cruises and traveled throughout Europe.
After open heart surgery, John volunteered at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California, counseling heart surgery patients.
In 1997, he and Ellie moved to Visalia to be near family.
John is preceded in death by his parents Madelyn and Adolph Henzler and his wife, Ellie.
John is survived by his daughter, Tail Boyle; grandsons, John Boyle and friend Cosetta of Fresno, CA and Scott and wife, Amy Boyle and granddaughters, Ella and Scarlett of Visalia and several cousins.
A private burial service will be held at a later date.
