Josie Gonzalez was born on September 24th, 1950 to Josephine De La Cruz in Visalia, California. She passed away on the 9th day of June 2021 in Tulare, California at the age of 70 years. Josie leaves behind four children, fifteen grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Her son Xavier Gonzalez with two sons Paul and Robert; Daughter Cecelia Whitworth and husband William with four children, Clarissa, Nichole, Ian and Mia; Son Reynaldo Gonzalez Jr.; Daughter Elaine Delgadillo and husband Alfredo with five children, Audree Porter and her husband Joshua, Alfredo Jr., Elias, Emerie, and Amelia; Son in law Chris Giles with three children, Alyssia, Christopher and Megan Lambert. Seven great-grandchildren; Aiden, Emerson, Oliver, Julien, Penelope, Christopher M., and Eleanor.
Josie was preceded in death by her husband Reynaldo Gonzalez, daughter Julie Giles, mother Josephine Cota, sister Rosemarie Cota, and grandson Gerald Gonzales.
Born in the "baby boom" generation, she was a true child of the 60's with a peace and love outlook on life. She was a huge Beetles and Beach Boys fan, and a lover of music. Josie had an eclectic style all her own, she was the type lady that would get all dressed up with hair and makeup, along with jewelry just to have dinner at the dinner table. She was the most loving mother, grandmother and great-grandma. She will forever be missed by all who loved her...
A Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm with Rosary at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church 608 North Church Street, Visalia, California on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 10:30 am followed with Interment at Visalia Public Cemetery District.
