

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Judy Patrick Hale on June 28th, 2015.Judy was born in Mobile, Oklahoma on March 1st, 1941 to James and Mary Patrick. Judy moved with her family to California in 1943 where she attended local schools, and graduated from Tulare Union High in 1958.She then settled down in Tulare, where she raised her own family. Judy went to work for Earls restaurant, and later worked for many years at Hoffman's Farms, where she was known to host the best company parties. Eventually, she found a job she loved working as an office manager at Ozark Trucking until they closed 2009.During baseball season, you could always find Judy at the Little League and Bobby Socks fields, cheering for her children, and later on her Grandchildren.Throughout her life in Tulare, Judy participated in the community and made many close friends. She was known for her caring and generous heart, and will truly be missed by many.
Judy had a large family, and her love for cooking always made the holidays and family get-togethers memorable and special.Judy is proceeded in death by her husband Art Hale, her son Jimmy Rippee, her step-daughter Diane Hale, her parents James and Mary Patrick, and her four brothers: Jimmy, Cecile, Bobby and Roy Patrick.Judy leaves behind her four sisters: LaVell Oden, Ann Hodsen (Dwayne), LaFae Rippee (Jerry), and Inas Clark (Elden), her three children: Edward Rippee (Carol), Jerry Rippee, and Julie Hale-Liggett (Ronny), her three step-children: Susan Jerrett (Dennis), Debby Hale-Sweeney, and Denise Clark (Tommy). She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.The services for Judy Hale will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave in Visalia. Viewing will be on Thursday, July 9th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The service will be Friday, July 10th at 10:00 am, followed by grave side at the new Tulare Cemetery off of J street. The Reception will follow in the Recreation Hall at Country Estates, directly across from Judy's house at 900 E. Rankin road in Tulare.
