Laurence (Larry) G. Marshall, Sr., 90, passed away October 11,2011 peacefully, with his family & faithful dog by his side, Saturday, in the loving home of his daughter & son-in-law, Jacque & Rich Randolph in Visalia, CA. Larry was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mary & Elmer Marshall. Larry went to school entirely in Salt Lake City with his brother, Bud Marshall. The two of them were thick-as-thieves together and had a great time growing up. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II and when he mustered out of the Navy in San Francisco where he met his first wife, Josephine Simpson and married her, having two sons, Laurence G. Marshall, Jr. & Daniel A. Marshall. Larry attended post-war college at U.C. San Francisco to acquire his X-Ray Technician Certification. He worked, for Fresno Radiology. Larry remarried several years later to Gladys in Fresno and adopted her two children, Kay & Larry (Little-Larry) making them his own. Many years later, Larry married the love-of-his-life in Fresno, Bonnie Belcher. Bonnie, from a previous marriage had 4 children, Jim, Jacque, Theresa & John. After Bonnie was tragically taken from us, Larry remained living in the family home in Fresno where he lived until 2009. At which time, a new chapter in Larry's live unfolded, taking him to Visalia, CA and closer to his beloved grandchildren that he so enjoyed being around. In the last couple of weeks of Larry's great life, he lived with Jacque & Rich in their home where he was continuously visited by those wonderful grandkids. Larry was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Fresno Bulldogs and rarely ever missed a game, except when he got mad at one of them. He leaves his children: Dan & Helen Marshall, Kay & Joe Broadway, Larry & Linda Marshall, Jim & Cynthia Belcher, Jacque & Richard Randolph, Theresa & Ted Peppell. He will be especially missed by his grandkids: Christopher Marshall, Erik Marshall, Danielle Kellogg, Todd & Troy Marshall, Bill & Margret Belcher, Kristina Finch & Mathew Belcher; Rick Randolph, Richelle & Sergio Renteria, Leslie & Rob Hicks, Robert & Tonja Geiger, Steven & Angela Peppell, Neil Peppell, John & Samantha, Joseph & James Belcher and many great grandchildren & 2 great-great Grandchildren. Dad you will be missed by his family & friends.
