
"Tra", as she was lovingly known to her family, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at her rural Tulare home from complications of cancer. She was 82. Born on December 13, 1924 in Dinuba, she was the second child of Benjamin Bryan Snow and Enid Elam Snow. She attended grammar school in Dinuba until her family moved to Visalia in 1936. In Visalia she attended Webster and Visalia Union High School graduating in 1942. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching credential from Fresno State. At that time she rekindled her romance with Donald B. Iden and they were married on June 28, 1946.
She was a substitute teacher before starting her family. She was past president and life member of the PTA. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Gardening was her passion, especially her Iris. She also was a avid collector of depression glass.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Paredez and husband, Steve, sons, Barry Iden and wife Susan, Blair Iden and wife, Cecile, sister, Marian Pratt, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Don and brother, Benjamin Bryan Snow, Jr.
She will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to extend special thanks to her beloved caretakers, Kathy Jorgensen and Rosie Garza.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the Visalia Cemetery Pavilion.
