Norma Jean Lakey

Norma married the love of her life Laurence T. Lakey, Jr. on June 17, 1949. She enjoyed every moment of her life. She loved playing games with her family, Tuesday Bible study group, Wednesday playing cards and Bunco. One of her favorite activities was to wear her purple outfit with her fancy red hat and join the group of ladies of the Red Hat Society, calling themselves the Golden Girls. Norma will be greatly missed. Her smile, laugh and vibrant personality captured everyone.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Laurence T. Lakey, Jr., sister Beverly Jones Martin and brother Victor Robinson. She is survived by her three children Larry Lakey wife Patty of Exeter, Karen Lakey Lee of Visalia and Darrell Lakey wife Mary of Los Osos, 8 grandchildren: Heather Welder Burn, Mathew Lee, Carrie Salazar, Darrell Reed Lakey, Randall Lakey, Brett Lakey, Nick Lakey, and Annaly Orlando, 9 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at Visalia Public Cemetery District, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
