Not sure why Jo & Wanda,  yet Bob's been on my mind alot lately.  So I figure the way God works with my heart,  some Shoop needs prayer, He knows the details .  God be with you and may He bestow abundant blessings on every Shoop big & small.  Love to all Patty Wagner.

ps., I only allowed Bob to call me Patty when we were in school.

It is now  2024 and I just found out about Bob.  We were friends since the second grade and he was the best man at my first marriage.  Bob, Norma & I used to stay up late and watch the Johnny Carson Show.   Blair would go to bed early because of his job.  Other times we would sit out in my car and just talk about what we were going to do in life.  I don't think either of us knew at that time that we would soon be in the service.   We went our separate ways, Bob to Viet Nam and me to England but we always  stayed in touch.  When we rotated out of service we ended up living about 220 miles apart so we saw each other occasionally.  He was my best friend even though we didn't get together much in the last few years.  I will miss him.

Today I thought of Robert.  He was a wonderful man.  I remember going to him and he asking me, “How much can you afford to pay me?”  I said $20 and he agreed. For the next 30 years he charged me $20. Once I had good insurance and I told him and he smiled like it was no big thing.  He and I always talked about God’s word and he was pretty sharp in his reasoning.  He always mentioned his wife and his children and that he would do anything for them.  He was a good man.

Dr Shoop was a great chiropractor.  Very funny and always loved to laugh. 


Hi, Jo, Wanda and all who love Bob.
Bob is part of the famiy of Eagles. A very close group of kids that hold a special bond. Bob is one of the great good guys, I was blessed to call him a good friend. I remember him coming to school in pastel colored shirts, yellows, pink, lavander, I can almost picture his grin and wink as I noted to him the color. I well remember the friendship between Bob and Danny, both young handsome dudes. I was blessed by Bob's  kindness,  friendship and a great sense of humor.  I remember him bidding and winning  for my home-made lunch at our senior picnic. Our friend Bob will be missed by many. I think I may still be in shock reading of his passing. Bob had many battles for his health in the last few years, I am very sad to think the last time I got to hug him was the last time I hugged him.
God be with you as each grieve Bob's presences in their lives.

Wanda, it was a pleasure to see you each reunion.
Jo, I am not surprised Bob chose such a lovely, intelligent woman as you are for his lifelong companion and wife. 
It was a pleasure meeting you and getting to know you a little bit better at each reunion.

🇺🇲 In God we TRUST 🇺🇸

We were surprised and sad when we heard of Bob's death.  Because  we lived so far apart, we haven't visited Bob and Jo for many years, but we spoke of him often and wondered how he was doing.  
My memory of Bob goes way back to when we were kids. My dad and mom, Harry and Kathryn Shoop, would visit Blair and Norma and their kids. Bob and I always played lots of games including baseball and football and made homemade ice cream.  
My fondest memory of Bob was his bubbly personality.  I still recall his smile and laugh and he always was a happy guy.  I know his pride was in his love for Jo and his family.  He was a great father and worked hard and provided a good life for all of them. 
His family can be very proud of him and the life he lived.  He was a good man and he will be remembered by all who knew or came in contact with him. 
  
Please accept our sincere condolences and sympathy.

Bob and I have been friends since the 4th grade.  We had many adventures together and some of those adventures are better left unsaid.  He was my best friend and I miss him so much.  I don't think Bob never met a challenge he couldn't win and that was due to his amazing courage.  Till we meet again - via condios my friend.

I could add a million memories but I will pick just one. When we were 16 Bob stops by my house and asks me to take a walk with him down to the corner so he could sneak a smoke. His mom and dad had no idea he had taken up the habit and would definitely have disapproved. So, he fires one up and then we carelessly started walking back up the street toward his house. All of a sudden he says, “shoot (sort of), my mom is walking toward us and she sees the cigarette in my hand. I bent down and pretended to tie my shoe. I told Bob to tell his mom he was just holding the cigarette for me while I tied my shoe. I did not smoke- hated it. Later that day we met up and I asked Bob what he wanted to do. He replied, “nothing. I can’t hang around with you. My mom thinks you’re a bad influence because you smoke”. He laughed his rear end off.
