Tori Alison Warford was born in San Diego, CA on August 12, 1971. She is the oldest of four children born to Stephen and Linda Lee-Thomas. When she was 5-years-old, she and her family moved to Visalia, CA where she spent the rest of her life. On December 3, 2017, Tori passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes.
Tori attended Crestwood Elementary School and graduated from Mount Whitney High School. She enjoyed participating in the high school choir and was a talented photographer who contributed to the school’s yearbook. She attended the College of the Sequoias where she earned an AA Degree. Tori worked as an Executive Secretary for the Visalia Times Delta for 14 years, retiring in 2011.
She married her best friend, David K. Warford, on October 1, 2011. Tori and David were sealed for time and all eternity in the Fresno LDS Temple on December 26, 2013. Together they enjoyed trips to the coast, watching movies, and hosting family events and back yard barbecues.
Tori was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many capacities. She was a great teacher who influenced and inspired many as she taught lessons about God’s love for each of us. Tori had a quick wit and was able to laugh at many of life’s situations. She recognized the irony that occurred in day-to-day events and had a great way of seeing things.
Tori always enjoyed assisting those in need and was especially focused on championing the needs of children. She completed her training to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) and was sworn in by the Court in November 2015. She volunteered many hours of her time advocating for the needs and rights of babies and toddlers in foster care in her community.
Her pretty smile, her big blue eyes, her sense of humor, and her loving heart will be missed by all who knew her.
Tori is survived by her husband David, and their children Hannah and Luke Parker and Caidance, DJ, and Joshua Warford, her parents and her siblings, Marci England, Stephen Andrew Lee-Thomas, Jr., and Erin Brown, their spouses and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service celebrating Tori’s life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4000 W. Caldwell Ave. in Visalia. Those who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
