Victoria Dacanay Bates

Victoria Dacanay Bates was born in Pagudpud, Ilocos (ilocos) Norte, Philippines on March 09, 1958 to Lucrecia Dacanay and Emilio Dacanay. She passed away on June 17, 2017 in Tulare, California. She was raised in the Philippines and met her husband Carl E. Bates, who was stationed in the Philippines in the U.S. Navy. They married on June 15, 1976. Shortly thereafter they moved to the United States and began their life raising their two sons, Matthew and Anthony. They later adopted their niece Stacey and welcomed her as their daughter. Victoria spent most of her working career in retail and retail management, which she excelled at. Her greatest love in life was always her family. She especially enjoyed seeing her grandchildren, Austin, Kimbly, Mia, Nathaniel, Kenna, Bristol, and Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew in 2003, and her husband, Carl in 2013. She will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 3 - 6 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, California. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Visalia Public Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA
