Carolyn was a private duty nurse. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking and fashion.
She is survived by her children, Judy Jackson Freeman (Andy), Brenda Jackson Beck (Larry), Sandra Jackson Welch (Robert), Curtis Laverne Jackson (Brenda), and Sue Jackson Elrod (Troy); 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mickey Rickenbaker.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Curtis Laverne Jackson, and sister, Jewel Crider.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with burial to take place after the services at Southland Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. William Strickland and his staff and Three Oaks Hospice, especially her Nurse aide, Miss Najee for their wonderful care.
