LEXINGTON - Graveside services for Connie Marie Hood, 62, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Southland Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Connie Hood was born on May 12, 1949 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012. She was the daughter of the late John Elsworth Hood and Mary Clark Hood Hellams. She was a resident of The Babcock Center for over 40 years and worked as an Operator at the Lexington County Collection Site.
Ms. Hood is survived by her brothers, Shannon Hood and John Hellams, Jr.; nieces, Michelle Hellams and Nichole Hellams; aunt, Alice Lee; step-mother, Faye Taylor; nephew Brian Hood; uncles, Lester H. Hood and Furman A. Hood, Jr.; aunts, Geraldine Hood and Elsie Harter as well as a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Ted W. Hellams and grandparents, Ted and Julia Clark.
