
WEST COLUMBIA- A Celebration of Life service for Coy Durham will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at American Legion Post 6, 200 Pickens Street, Columbia, SC 29205.
Coy Lester Durham, Jr., entered into the gates of heaven on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Coy Durham, 63 was born on June 3, 1954 in Roanoke, VA. He was the son of Coy Lester Durham, Sr. and Rose Marie Hayes Durham.
Coy Durham was a licensed Master Plumber. For the past 36 years he was successfully self-employed in the Columbia area. He attended local churches and was a member of the Cayce Moose Lodge. He was lovingly referred to as a “Renaissance Man” because he was an accomplished musician, songwriter and artist.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lydia Rozier Durham; daughters, Lily Dawn Durham, Jessica Rea Sox (Brian) and April Kathleen Durham; sons, William “Bud” Rea (Jacky) and Coy Lester “Les” Durham, III; grandchildren, Rhiannon and Phoenix Walker, Zaypher and Laygen Prim, Arabella White and Reece Rea. He is also survived by his father, Coy Lester Durham, Sr. and sister, Deborah Durham Glasberg.
The family would like to give special thanks to Lexington Medical Center’s Oncology department for the loving care they extended to Coy and his family during his brief illness.
