He retired from N.W. White and was an entrepreneur of many businesses. He liked to fix things, loved his corvette and race cars.
David is survived by his wife, Linda Braxton of Cayce, SC; sons, David E. Braxton (Sherri) and Derrick Braxton (Vanessa), both of Cayce, SC; daughter, Stacey B. Hardwick (Eric) of Cayce, SC; six grandchildren, David Braxton, III, Jonathan Braxton, Timothy Braxton, Joseph Braxton, Kearston Braxton, and Bryson Hardwick; brother, Stephen Braxton, of Orangeburg, SC and sister, Janet Ulmer, of West Columbia, SC. He is predeceased by his brother, Ken Braxton.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170. Graveside will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
