Helen Jeanette Ford was born on March 29, 1927 in Bishopville, SC. She was a graduate of Newberry High School and Newberry Business College. She retired after 35 years from First Baptist Church West Columbia as a secretary and was a devoted member for 66 years.
She is survived by her children, Beth Everritt, Bobby Ford, and Linda Cooper (Gregg); grandchildren, Sheila Simmons (Mike), Kenneth Heilmann, and step-grandson, Lee Cooper; and great-granddaughters, Taegan Goodwin and Ellasyn Goodwin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rogers Ford; father and mother, Enos and Helen Jumper; son, Johnny Ford; brothers, Enos Jumper, Jr and Bobby Jumper; sister, Elizabeth Livingston; granddaughter, Heather Ford Goodwin; grandson, John Edward Ford; and sons-in-law, Johney Heilman and John Everritt.
Services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, with a funeral service at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC 29170. Services will be officiated by Pastor Tony Hopkins.
Pallbearers will be Marion Gunter, Mason Gunter, Marc Shull, Brian Hopkins, David Queen, and Andy Ellison.
