GASTON – Funeral services for Homer L. Bennett, Jr., 61, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with burial in Southland Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
Mr. Bennett was born January 4, 1954 in Columbia, SC and passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He was the son of the late Homer L. Bennett, Sr. and Alice Elise Trimnal Bennett. Homer worked as a truck driver for N.W. White Trucking. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Connie Bennett; daughter, Carrissa Merchant and her husband Clint; grandchildren, Christian and Connor Merchant; sister, Elaine Bennett; brother, Rodney Bennett and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
