With heavy hearts and sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose Maria Gonzalez-Linares, who passed away at 13 on Tuesday, April 17, 2025. Born in Gastonia, NC on June 03, 2011, Jose will always be known as the boy who always had a smile on his face. Who always loved to share, cared deeply for his friends and family, and always worked hard.
Despite his 13 years, he touched a lot of hearts. His love for God was so big. He loved playing for Him, whether it be through the drums or trumpet. He was talented, loving, and funny. He loved expressing what he felt with hugs, songs, and would always give a thumbs up. He always put others first, always. He was a deeply loved son, brother, nephew, grandchild and a friend to many. He’ll be deeply missed by his parents, Jose and Arminda Gonzalez, and his siblings, Keren, Elisabeth, Mindy, Abigail, and Nathan.
His visitation will be held at his church Iglesia Santidad A Jehova on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2243 Leaphart Rd Suite E, West Columbia, SC 29169 starting at 5:00 pm. His funeral service will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 820 West Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Southland Memorial Gardens.
