WEST COLUMBIA - A Celebration of Life for Joe White will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Rd., West Columbia, SC 29170 on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Please come and share your memories.
Joe White, 44, has parked his wheel chair and is “back on his feet again” with Jesus since his passing on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He was born on June 1, 1974 in Newport News, VA to Frank and Kaye White. Joe graduated from Richland NE High School and the University of Louisville and was an avid USC Gamecock fan, as well as the Louisville Cardinals.
Joe leaves, with loving memories, his parents of West Columbia; daughter, Ava Mary-Kaye White and her mother, Auja of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Ray and Betsy Lillard of West Columbia; brother, Michael (Gina) of Portsmouth, VA; sisters, Kathy (Wayne) Griffin of Richmond, VA, Laura Becker of Virginia Beach, VA and Beth White of Charleston, SC as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parental grandparents, Bob and Louise Miller.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, PO Box 016960 (R48), Miami, FL 33101 or College Fund for Ava as: Ava Mary-Kaye White, 2112 Chipmunk Lane, West Columbia, SC 29169.
