WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for June Lois Barrett, 77, of West Columbia, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mrs. Barrett was born June 19, 1938 in Abbeville, SC to the late, Calhoun S.C. Barrett and Ellen Prince Barrett and passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and actively served alongside her husband for many years teaching Sunday school. She loved to sew and work in the yard with Bradley growing beautiful flowers, and vegetable gardens. She was always in the kitchen making her famous homemade biscuits and sweet tea.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Norman Bradley (Slim) Barrett; daughters Carol Barrett (Ray Miles), Beverly Davis (Mike). Four grandchildren, Brad Barrett, Casey Hill (Greg), Brandy Sapp (Michael), and Shannon Williamson (Jonathan). Six great grandchildren, Delana, Jayden, Lacey, Lilah Grace, Laura June, and Carson.

The family would like to thank her primary doctors Jay Markowitz and Tanya Seawright, her pulmonary doctor Paul Kirschenfield the staff at Palmetto Baptist Hospital, and Hospice staff for all the care they provided.
