Kathy was born in 1950 in Columbia, SC, the daughter of the late Charles Franks and Kathleen O’Dell.
She was a graduate of Airport High School, located in west Columbia, SC, in 1969. She was a longtime employee of the University of South Carolina, where she retired and later went back to work at MUSC.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Otis; son, Todd Lowman; granddaughters Hannah Lowman and Caroline Lowman; grandson, Jack Lowman; sisters, Claudia Wood (Tom) and Julie Dreher (Bernie); along with her little dogs, Hank and Daisy that she loved and would keep her company.
Kathy is preceded in death by her grandsons, Joshua and Justin Lowman.
A private family viewing will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 AM, all held at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
