WEST COLUMBIA – Larry K. Abstance, Sr., 72, of West Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was born April 4, 1946 in Columbia, SC, to the late Albert C. Abstance and Mary Louise Johnson Abstance. He served in the United States Navy and was a retired mechanic for SCE&G. He loved dirt track and NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Craft Abstance of West Columbia; sons, Kenny Abstance (Karen) of Saluda and Kevin Abstance (Dana) of Aiken; grandchildren, Andrew and Anna Abstance; a sister, Diane Chavis of Lexington; and a brother, Donnie Abstance (Debbie) of Lexington.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Southland Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to West Columbia Central Church of the Nazarene or Agape Hospice.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
