Surviving are her loving husband, Leroy Spires and brother, Tommy Lee Branch (Belma). She was a loving mother to her children, Denise Napier, Pamela Bass (Tommy), Harold “Randy” Sturkie and Dana England (Daniel). Mary was also a loving grandmother to Marty Sighter, Matthew Morris, Brandi Napier, Joel “Joey” Rodriguez, Amanda Napier, Brittney England, and Mckenzie Boozer; and great-grandchildren, Jereme Sighter, Gracie Atkinson, Raygan Rodriguez, Bailey Rodriguez, Kennedy Rodriguez, Kyland Flagg, Colen Flagg, Novalee Flagg, and Landen Boozer.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mendel Curtis Sturkie; four brothers and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
