Maxie Michelle Argoe

Michelle was a graduate of Swansea High School and a member of St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church. After high school, Michelle lived in Columbia, SC. She worked in property management and sales with Bell South. Michelle’s love of family brought her back to Gaston, SC, working beside her father in the family business started by her grandfather. Michelle and her brother Chad continued the family business after her father passed in 2012.

She loved to spend time with her family cooking holiday meals and caring for each member of the family in a special way.

Surviving is her son, “her heart”, Max Argoe and her beloved dog, Axel; brothers: Mark McKenzie Argoe, Brian W. Argoe, James Randolph (Jan) Argoe and Chad Christopher Argoe; cousin, Blake Jones; aunts, Sarah Sharpe and Delma Moss; uncle, Paul Argoe; nieces: Monica Argoe, Jessica Argoe, Kayce Argoe, Rachel Argoe, Gracie Argoe, Olivia Argoe; nephews, Ryan Smith, Benjamin Argoe and Anthony Argoe.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Maxie Argoe and her mother, Susan Wade; uncle, Johnny Wayne Argoe; aunts, Betty Holder and Linda Mook and cousin, Corey Argoe.

Michelle had many cousins and friends who she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 3:00 pm at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church, 648 St. Matthews Road, Swansea, SC with burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Swansea, SC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel.
