Norman E Shealy Sr.

WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Norman E. Shealy, Sr., 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 at Congaree Baptist Church, West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Caughman Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia, SC, from 4 ‘til 6 p.m.

Mr. Shealy was born on August 5, 1944 in Columbia, SC and passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was a son of the late Frank D. and Georgia Day Shealy. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vickie Lucas Shealy; brothers, James and William Shealy; and sisters, Lucille Geddings, Joyce Bowen, and Margaret Liva. Surviving are his daughter, Niki Crolley (Jeff); sons, Norman E. “Eddie” Shealy, Jr. (Sara) and Frank L. Shealy (Kim); seven grandchildren; Zachary Crolley, Nicholas (as his granddaddy called him) “Cole” Crolley, Christian Shealy, Dawson Shealy, Mikayla Shealy, Ashton Shealy, and Hunter Shealy; one great-grandchild, Reagan Barker; many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

Mr. Shealy was a retired general contractor of more than 45 years and was a life-long member of Congaree Baptist Church, as well as a member of the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Compassionate Care Hospice, Twilite Manor Assisted Living, and Agape Hospice House for their love and care given to Mr. Shealy during his final days. The family would like to give an extra special thank you to his good friend, Jack Hagood, with Compassionate Care Hospice, for always going above and beyond the call of duty and becoming a true friend to Mr. Shealy and his family.
