Funeral services for Phyllis J. Harmon, 82, will be Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. Graveside will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family at the chapel from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 325 Church St., West Columbia, SC 29172.
Mrs. Harmon was born March 6, 1939 in Wyoming to Harry and Margaret Jonte. Mrs. Harmon is the widow of Grady Harmon, Sr. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Mrs. Harmon is survived by her sons, Grady (Theresa), George, and Ricky. She is also survived by one sister, Julia Van Meter of Fort Bragg, California. Mrs. Harmon is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is survived by a stepsister, Hattie Jonte.
Mrs. Harmon is predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Timothy; granddaughter, Alecia Garnsey; siblings, Paul Jonte, Dale Jonte, Margaret Neuman and stepbrother, Harry.
