Virginia Rexrode

Virginia was a longtime employee of Richland County Health Department, Providence Hospital and Lexington Medical Center.

She is survived by husband, Leonard Bairefoot; daughter, Victoria Rexrode (Rickie White); sister, Sherrie Allen; granddaughters, Pearl White and AnnaBelle White; granddaughter, Serenity McIntire; grandson, Aubri McIntire; stepson, Daniel Bairefoot; stepdaughter, Elizabeth McIntire; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, James Lee McPherson and Betty Sharpe McPherson; and brothers, Michael McPherson and James “Steve” McPherson.

Virginia loved everyone and opened her doors to others. She enjoyed movies with her friends, fishing with her husband, cooking (her secret ingredients were love and butter), gardening from sun up till sun down, and endless hours of shopping especially at her favorite store, Belk. She was always helping others and making sure people were fed and had enough to eat. She loved listening to Michael Jackson and The Carpenters with her daughter and granddaughter. She loved all of her grandchildren and loved attending her granddaughter Pearl’s dance recitals.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will be at Southland Memorial Gardens with graveside service to be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
