

LEESVILLE – William “Billy” Ira Pound, Jr., 54, passed away during the early morning hours of November 30, 2010, where he was last seen walking injured from a car accident in Fairfield County, SC. Billy walked into a world of missing persons that morning and family, friends, strangers and law enforcement have been searching for Billy since that day. Miraculously, after a 2 year struggle and many searches, some remains have now been found.
Funeral services for Billy will be held at 2:00. p. m. on Sunday, December 22, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Chapel.
Billy, with his brilliant mind, was a self-taught computer programmer and worked in I.T. at various locations. He was an Airport High School Alumni and attended classes at Midlands Technical College. Billy was offered a scholarship to Wofford University after high school but declined, which was trivia his children enjoyed very much.
Billy was the oldest son of the late “Bill” Pound and Ms. Geneva Mattingly. Survivors include daughter, Aimee (36) and her husband, Joel Davis; their four children; sons, Daryl Pound (34) and Brent Pound (19); daughter, Brittany Pound (19); step-son, Jason Ridgeway (34) and his son, Jason; brother, Charles Pound and two ex- wives, Linda Bonner and Sharon Pound.
