Bart Richardson

December 30, 1930 – October 8, 2011

Bart Richardson, 80, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in a local hospital with his family by his side. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Waco Memorial Park. There will be no formal visitation but family and friends are invited to sign the register book from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.

Bart was born on December 30, 1930 in Evans, Louisiana to Arthur and Lucy (Goines) Richardson. Bart married the love of his life, Bobbie Ann Smith, on July 15, 1954. He was an Army veteran of 20 years serving during the Korean War. He retired from Sears Service Center after 20+ years of employment. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #24. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and golfing.

Bart is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Bobbie Richardson; daughter, Beverly Youngblood and husband, David; son, Billy Richardson and wife, Karen; brother, Murlyn Richardson and wife, Helen; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of Providence Hospital ICU for the love and care given to Bart.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
