

Bill "Chris" Christmas, 86, of Waco, passed away on Monday, Mar. 14, 2016. In accordance with his wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. His remains will be interred at the McGregor cemetery in McGregor, Texas.
Bill was born in Colorado City, Texas to Patrick H Christmas and Bessie (Jones) Christmas on March 9, 1930. Shortly after graduating high school in Hatch, New Mexico, Bill joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the air craft carrier USS Rendova in the Pacific/East Asian cruise during the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life, Kirsksey "Pat" Sims, in January, 1954. Bill worked in the beauty business in Waco most of his adult life. He owned his own salon and also opened Lavonne Beauty Supply Company, which he co-owned and operated with his wife Pat. After retiring from the beauty business, he started a small jewelry business and he and Pat enjoyed traveling and meeting people at trade and craft shows. He was a life long "Rock Hound" and was a long time member and past president of the Waco Gem and Mineral Club. In his younger years he was also an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kirksey "Pat" Christmas; his daughter, Cheryl Lynn Christmas; and his son, Kelly Christmas.
He is survived by his son, Patrick L Christmas of Plano, and his wife, Sandra; his sister, Patricia Dutton, of Thornton; his daughter-in-law, Pamela Christmas of Dennis Port, MA; and his grand daughter, Christina Dean of Huntington Beach, CA.
