Carson (Don) Wooddell, age 79, passed away on Friday, December 09, 2011 in Temple. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14th at 10 AM at Bellwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Don was born on July 8, 1932 to Archie and Mabel Wooddell in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He was a longtime resident of Temple. Don served in the Army from 1949-1969. He served during the Korea War, Vietnam War and he also served as a Law Enforcement Officer.
Don was preceded in death by parents, Archie and Mabel Wooddell; son, Michael Jones and sisters, Barbara Jean and Dorothy Bell.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ann Wooddell of Temple; Daughter, Anna Patterson and husband, Bob of Temple; sons, Wayne Wooddell of Temple and Sam Wooddell and wife, Traci of Temple; grandsons, Jonathan , Jacob and James Wooddell; numerous nieces and nephews.
