Memorial Services will be held 7:00p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel.
Daniel was born March 2, 1934 in Santa Rosa, Texas to Merced and Petra (Hinojosa) Salas. He worked at the Methodist Children’s Home for over 22 years. Daniel was a great father to his children and grandchildren and was a great friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Linda Diaz and sister, Mary Kocian.
Survivors include Ricardo Salas and wife Lorena, Gloria Banda and husband Alejandro, Johnny Salas and wife Tina, David Salas and wife Marilyn, and Daniel Salas and wife Theresa; the mother of his children, Blasa Salas; grandchildren, Ricardo, Jr., Bridgett, April, Juan, Carlos, Veronica, David, Joshua, John, Kylie and Kyla; several great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Emily Gonzales, Lupe Jiminez, and Joe Salas and wife Mercell; and special niece, Sophia Beltran.
