Brian Harris of Waco passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Services will be held at Connally-Compton Funeral Home on Monday, April 20th at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Brian was born on September 16, 1954 to Chester and Janette Harris. He was raised in Waco, attended Waco public schools, graduated from Richfield High School, class of 1974, and also attended TSTC. He was a Baptist and was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church throughout his youth. Brian worked several years for the Southland Corp. and later became a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Corrections and also a detention officer for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Brian had a very jovial and outgoing personality and a heart of gold. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janette Gross; brother, Claude Harris; and sister, Kathy Hawkins.
Survivors include his father, Chester Harris; brother, Michael Harris and wife, Donna; son, David Harris and David’s mother, Rita Harris and several other relatives.
