Dolores "Lola" Fuentes Riggins

Dolores “Lola” Fuentes Riggins, 78, passed away Oct. 30, 2012 at a local hospital. Services will be Friday, November 2, 2012 at 10:00am at the St Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be November 1, 2012 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors from 6 to 8 pm with a Rosary at 7pm.

Lola was born Nov. 19, 1933 in Waco, Texas to Victor and Maria Fuentes. She grew up in Waco her whole life. Lola married the love of her life, Odie Riggins Sr., on September 11, 1949. She loved family gatherings and spending time with them. When she wasn’t spending time with the family she was at the Bingo Hall one of her favorite places. Lola loved listening to music and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several sisters and brothers.

Lola is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Odie Riggins Sr.; two children Linda DeLeon and husband Jessie, Odie Riggins Jr. and wife Becky Sue; Grandchildren, Jerimiah Riggins and wife Cristina, Laura Lee DeLeon and husband Delton, Rodney DeLeon and wife Ashley, Christy Wells, Amanda Burnor, Eric Riggins; 5 Great Grandchildren, Brandon, Codie, Kaley, Isabel, and Trinity; brothers Victor Fuentes Jr. and wife Mary Lou and Edward Fuentes and wife Gloria and her fur baby Chispita whom she loved very much.
