Doris Hinson Pelton, 90, passed away at a local nursing home surrounded by family October 16, 2012. She was born Nov. 5, 1921 to Edward and Beulah Hinson. Doris was a seamstress, homemaker, and loving mother. She was a longtime resident of Bellmead and member of Oak Lawn Baptist Church. Doris was a very devoted wife and mother who was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Pelton, son Larry Pelton, and granddaughter Rachael.
She is survived by her sons Wallace Pelton and wife Debbie, and Harold Pelton and wife Janice both of Bellmead, Texas; one daughter Darlene Maurits and husband Gil of Hamilton, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Eldonna Pelton of Bellmead, Texas; 9 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation will be Oct. 18, 2012 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors from 6p to 8p.
Services will be held Oct. 19, 2012 at Oak Lawn Baptist Church at 1p.m. with a burial at Waco Memorial Park.
