Doyle Gene Lechler

Mr. Doyle Gene Lechler, age 84, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Waco. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13th, at Waco Memorial Park in Waco. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 12th, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.

Mr. Lechler was born June 18, 1933 to George and Viola (Moore) Lechler in Valley Mills, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Waco. He married Terry Morriss in 1978.

Doyle worked for MCC for several years before retiring.

He is preceded by his parents; brother, George Lechler; sisters, Verna Lee Shawl and Betty Flick; previous wife, Betty Lechler.

Survivors include his wife, Terry J. Lechler of Waco; son, Matthew Lechler and wife, Hayley of Waco; honorary son, Andrew Babick of Waco; grandson, Ethan Lechler of Waco; sister, Freddie Griffith of Meridian; numerous nieces and nephews; other survivors, step-sons, Danny Lechler and Randy Lechler both of Waco; daughter, Deborah Lechler of Waco.
