Mr. Herman Rolf Betke

Our husband and father, Herman Betke, met our Heavenly Father on October 23, 2016. He was loved dearly and will be missed by the family, friends and co-workers he leaves behind. Herman was born in 1935 in Borger, Texas to Herman F and Esther Betke. He graduated from Borger High School and West Texas State University. He married Anita Foy Dawkins in 1957 in Canyon Texas. Herman served in the Army 23 years before retiring in 1980. He and Anita lived in Waco for many years where he worked at UBI Products with his son, Mike Betke.

After Anita's death, Herman found love again and married Jeannie Carpenter Betke in 2009. They have lived happily in San Antonio. Herman and Jeanne were members of Concordia Lutheran Church where he served in the Stephen Ministry.

Herman is survived by Jeanne, his children Mike and Mary Betke, Denise and Tommy Adams, grandchildren, Michael Betke, Sydney and Josh Dietert, Dan and Nora Adams, Lisa and Andrew Miller.

He is also survived by Jeannie's children, Mark and Wendy Carpenter, Carmen and Dale Hardy, and grandchildren, Brandon Erlinson, Giordan and Rick Aristageta, Jacob Carpenter and Samantha Carpenter, and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday October, 26-2016 from 6-8 PM at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors, 4400 W Waco, Drive, Waco, TX 76710. Grave site services will be at Thursday October, 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S 5th Street, Waco, TX 76706.
