JoNell Hale

JoNell Hale, 80, of Belton, formerly of Waco, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Belton. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with the Reverend David Cozart officiating. Interment will follow in Turnersville Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, January 29th at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hale was born on January 24, 1938 in Hurst Springs, Texas to Grady and Floria (Huckaby) Hollingsworth. She loved to crochet and watch the SyFy network but her true love was her family. Mrs. Hale was a longtime Girl Scout Leader and she retired from Word, Inc. and Central Freight Lines. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wanda June Kendall and her husband, Ken and LaNell Hollingsworth; nephew, Terry Hollingsworth and her great granddaughter, Alexis Hightree.

Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Allen and Saundra Aylor; brother, Charles Hollingsworth and his wife, Marlane; grandchildren, Jennifer, Diana, Scott, David, Kasey, Jason, William and Andrew; great grandchildren, Jaeger, Jonah, Amelia, Sabrina and Evelyn and numerous nieces, Nephews, cousins and dear friends.
