

Leonor Tellez Lopez 94 of Waco, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved children on December 29, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Reverend Carlo Benjamin Magnaye as celebrant. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Leonor was born on April 11, 1920 in Rosebud, Texas, to the late Lorenzo and Leonarda Tellez. She was a very loving daughter, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She married Ambrocio M. Lopez Waco, Texas, in 1946.
Her main purpose in life was serving the Lord and her family. She was a devout Catholic and has been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1957.Leonor was a member of The Apostolado De La Oracion De Sagrado Corazon and The Cursillo De Colores.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, word search, and playing loteria with her family. She also enjoyed spending weekends working with her sisters at Waco Flea Market where she sold custom made dresses.
She was preceded in death by her sisters; Petra Rodriguez, Santiaga Lopez, Concepcion Carrizales and Lorraine Montelongo and her brother; Catarino Tellez.
She is survived by her daughters; Paula (Pauline) Galindo and husband, Ernesto, Sr., Celestina (Sally) Marrujo and companion, Juvencio Guiterrez, Guadalupe (Lupe) Gonzales and husband, Rafael Sr., and sons; Henry Lopez and wife, Delores, Esteban (Steve) Lopez and wife, Becky all of Waco, Texas. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Sister; Guadalupe (Lupe) Rael of San Diego, California and a brother; Joe Tellez and wife, Martha of Waco, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are grandsons; Micheal Lopez, Rafael Gonzales Jr., Ernesto Galindo Jr., Christopher Gonzales and great- grandsons; Justin Smith and Jon-Vincent Jimenez. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to give a sincere thanks to Gentiva Hospice; nurses and staff. A very special thank you and gratitude to Frances Carrillo for being mom’s caregiver and companion.
