Marcus Keith Collins was born to Jimmy and Flossie Collins on April 23, 1979 in Waco, Texas. He graduated from Waco High School and continued his education receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communications at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.
Marcus was born and raised in the Church of God In Christ. At the age of 20, he accepted his call to ministry. In 2002, he married Teresa Lee. This union birthed a beautiful baby girl, Makayla, and handsome son, Bryson.
Marcus resided in Mississippi with his wife and children for many years. During this time, he discovered his passion for youth ministry while attending St. Paul Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Dr. Jesse Kelly. His outgoing personality, creative skills and influence led countless youth to Christ.
Recently, Marcus moved back to Waco, TX and continued his tenured career in Juvenile Corrections. He was employed at Bill Logue Detention Center as a Detention Manager and Certified Juvenile Probation Officer.
He was a fan of high school and college football and basketball. Marcus was a Baylor Nation fanatic. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching sports and attending the Baylor games.
Marcus leaves to cherish his lovely wife, Teresa, daughter, Makayla, son, Bryson, his parents, Jimmy and Flossie Collins; a host of siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
