Matilde Torres Lozano

Matilde Torres Lozano died peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Rosary Recited at 7:00 p.m. at Connally Compton Funeral Home. On Friday, February 9, 2018 Graveside Services at Oakwood Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

Matilde celebrated all her sacraments at St. Francis Catholic Church where she married Marselo Lopez Lozano in 1945 and remained lifelong members.

Preceded in death are her parents Juan and Josefa Torres; husband Marselo Lopez Lozano; sons Marselo “Sonny” Lozano and Carlos Lozano; two sisters Acadia Torres, and Elena Torres Rodriguez; brothers Isabell Torres, Pedro Torres, and Archie Torres; son in-law Jeffrey Schneider and grandson Michael McCann.

She leaves behind her daughters, Matilda Lozano-Barrientez husband Tony; Catarina “Katie” Mojica and husband, Joe, Elizabeth Lozano Schneider; Brother Panteleon “Leo” Torres; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 43 great-great grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers, Granddaughters: Vanessa McCann, Miramar Lozano, Mary Marmino, Deanna Carreno, Alma Pina.
