

A Catholic Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors with a visitation starting at 6:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 21, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Magnaye as celebrant. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Paul was born in Victoria, Texas on January 25, 1930 to Pablo and Guadalupe Villareal where he lived for 7 years. In 1937 the family moved to Edroy, Texas where he attended school in Odem. In 1951 he joined the United States Army at the age of 21 during the Korean conflict and received an Honorable discharged on December 31, 1952. After returning to Edroy, he met the love of his life, Dora Marin, whom he married on September 5, 1954 and lived there for 36 years. Paul and his wife Dora had 3 children Diana, Fernando and Pablo, Jr. (Paul). Paul and his family were active members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the American G.I. Form. He started working as a truck driver for COOP/ Farm Land Industries driving an 18 wheeler and owned a small T.V. repair business. In 1973 he moved to Waco, Texas with his family due to a job transfer. On December 1, 1986 he retired from his occupation as a truck driver serving over 30 years. After his retirement he spent much of his time attending the many school, musical and other activities where his children and grandchildren were involved. His favorite pastime was going to the movies and on Saturday morning eating breakfast at McDonald’s. He remained a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until his death.
On September 18, 1980 he lost the love of his life, his wife Dora. He is also preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Cleto Villareal and Rosa Dy.
He is survived by his children, Diana Bustamante and husband Johnny of Waco, The Honorable Fernando Villarreal and wife Yvonne of Waco, and Paul Villarreal, Jr and wife Isabel of Belton; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials can be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
