Paul was born April 28, 1927 to Santiago and Anita (Flores) Salinas in Raymondville, Texas. Paul served in the United States Navy during WWII. He loved his wife Susie and all his family. Driving his 18 Wheeler, singing, and dancing were some of his most favorite things to do. Paul was a man of God and loved to pray for hours. He was the best father and taught his children how to show respect. He was a friend and father to all and he persevered to the very end. Paul had a big, loving and caring heart as he was a wonderful provider to not only his children but to many others. He will never be forgotten and will be missed greatly and we praise God for the legacy he left behind.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers, Juan Salinas and his wife Theodora, and Ramon Salinas; Sister, Dominga Espinoza; children, Ernesto Salinas, Patrick Salinas, Richard Ayala; and 3 grandsons.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Susie Salinas; daughters, Gloria, Linda, Viola, Rita, Soila, Beatrice, Teresa, Patricia, Paula and Susie; sons, Eloy, Jesse, Raymond, Frank, Jimmy, and John Paul; 64 grandchildren, 117 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Texas Home Health Hospice, Stacy, Lana, and Sharon; also to Susie his daughter and caregiver and her children for all the love and care they provided. We appreciate the support, the love and prayers provided by friends, family, and many others.
