Graveside service will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, at 2 PM at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Steven Schumacher officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, Jan. 26, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Mr. Schumacher was born on March 19, 1927 to Albert and Faye Norris Schumacher in Akron, Ohio.
He was a longtime resident of Waco. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard prior to attending vocational school of machinery. Mr. Schumacher worked as a foreman of maintenance for General Tire in Waco for 9 years and then went to work for General Tire International and worked in several foreign countries before retiring.
Mr. Schumacher was preceded in death his parents, Albert and Faye Schumacher; Wife, Katherine Schumacher; daughter, Karen Ann Wills.
Mr. Schumacher leaves behind his daughter, Shelley Jane Smith and husband, Stephen of Dublin, Ohio; sons, Craig Allen Schumacher of Robinson and Mark Steven Schumacher and wife, Bridget of El Paso; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
