

Mr. Wiley Carroll, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2012 surrounded by his family at his home. Graveside Service will be on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Waco Memorial Park with Mr. Brian Gochenour and Mr. Allen Ritchie officiating under the direction of Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Wiley was born on July 16, 1934 to Leonard and Addis Farmer Carroll in Killeen, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Waco, Texas and a member of New Road Church of Christ. Wiley attended Waco Tech High. Wiley married Peggy Hutto in May 8, 1971 in Waco, where he own and operated Stadium Barber Shop for 30 years in Waco. He worked for Kenneth’s Barber Shop in Robinson for 12 years.
Wiley retired in 1999 as a barber.
Wiley was a people person and never met a stranger. He loved his family, shooting pool, fishing, hunting and woodworking. He spent 39 years with the love of his life and best friend, Peggy.
Wiley was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Addis Carroll; sister, May Kleber and brothers, Jim Carroll and Boyce “B. C.” Carroll.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Peggy Carroll of Waco; sisters, Lenora Stafford of Trinity, Irene Schwigert of San Leandro, Calif., Faye Whiteside of North Carolina and Shirley Walker of Katy; sister-in-law, Faye Lanford Carroll; brother, Jack Carroll of Waco; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial can be given to New Road Church of Christ.
